The constitution of the United States, (the one Donald was sure to shred in Hitler’s name) has offered the 14th amendment with its third clause that disallows insurrectionists to be put on the ballot, offered for office, so we are done here except for the crying.

The amendment, we have heard several times is “self executing” (a 12 year old doens’t need a court order to understand he can’t be put on the ballot, as one must be 35 to run for office of the president…
The U.S. Constitution sets minimum, but not maximum, age thresholds for presidents and members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. The minimum age is 35 for presidents, 30 for senators and 25 for representatives. The Constitution does not set a minimum or maximum age for Supreme Court justices.
…although if the last 10 years has been instructive, we won’t hear the end of this till we do.
Lots of ins and outs. Trump could get on the ballot if Congress has 60 yes votes. If Trump can manage to get enough weasels in Congress…. can he? What can he promise, pay for bargain bribe? He’s used up all his promised to pardon if… No kidnaps among the crimes we’ve seen so not that. What has he left?
One thing thats likely is we aren’t going to hear much else for the next months. Maybe years. Fix it an then run for 2028? How’s that Hunter Biden thing looking now? All hands on deck for we have turned the page. A new chapter has begun as we can be looking for more exclusions from the ballots in 2024.

Hopefully you do not think I’m trying to dissuade you as I’m not. I’m glad you are doing what you are doing and I support it.

You write with passion and struggle and show your turmoil. I observe yours and others internal wars as getting in touch with my own. I’m not a pair of ragged claws scuttling across contentious seas.
My brother and I have not talked for years. He is a very right-wing conservative. I’m sure he sees me as a left-wing communist condemned in the eyes of his god. His positions have not changed in 40 years while mine are in constant flux. So my comments are not to dissuade you and what you are trying to do but to crystallize this moment in time for myself as to where I am at this moment—just had a birthday 11 days ago so more reflective— and my relation to the universe.
