TikTok is good. Right? No but yeah. Everyone likes it, loves it. Its fun? Puppies and kitties are good right? Yeah but no. TikTok, Molly Jong-Fast said today in discussion with Rick Wilson, is banned in China where it is born. It is also, she opined, and I agreed, that it’s the reason why younger folks have been turned into war hating, genocide hating peaceniks. That’s good right? Well, Russia has invaded Ukraine. We know all about that, and what Putin has done and will likely do if allowed and how this war is also directly traceable in photos and written in big fat sharpie, with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was, up to and including Hunter Biden testifying in public about what happened in Ukraine, realllly.
House Oversight Committee chair James Comer swears he has a good reason for not wanting Hunter Biden to testify in public, and it’s definitely not that Republicans have no case.
I believe Hunter Biden will kick their asses and in public. Can’t wait.
October 7th brought us another war fought with again, historic troubles. More history spanning thousands of years to grok in a few hours. The spillage of war into new territory to be avoided. X continues to shed advertising money faster than the poles are shrinking as Elon Musk continues the march of X to be uncluttered with rules and limits to speech. His job is to chip at Amendment 1. That’s certainly worth 44 billion to someone or someones.

Facebook is still the most popular social media platform for news consumption, with roughly three in 10 U.S. adults getting their news from the site.
I’ll cut to the point. Younger folks about 40 on down, have a different mindset on what it is to be at war. We have been in some squirrely ones that have divided people before but nothing as today. Much is not organic but in the end the confusion about who is responsible for what in this world has become an epoch mess with purpose or without.
Our troubles mimic the time of World War Two in many ways. The battles in Europe and the Middle East are clearly defined, the purpose is clear in both regions of the world currently engaged.
These are wars in other nations engaging in war on other nations. The fear is in this country the wars won’t end without our help, guidance, assistance. Other fears by some are we are controlling, erasing the cultures of others in an Imperialist light stance. The war continues on in disharmony and opposition of words. TikTok seems so techie and clean, gentle and fun and the wars are so dirty in every way. So unfair. They are cutting off food and water. How could they. The hostages are coming. They walk cautiously, arms at their sides and then embraced by waiting family. The cease fire. Maybe it can hold, held breaths wait.
I watched all kinds of cartoons as kid. When I was really little they reran stuff from the 1930’s and ‘40’s on Saturday morning. I was there after the climb to the counter for Ovaltine and milk.
I was a happening 4 year old in footed pj’s. “Bombs away” I’d yell from the top of the stairs tossing something down the stairs to mom. I knew Hitler was a bad man and seeing a swastika frightened me. I knew what it meant. It was bad, the worse thing you could be. No clue as to what that meant. It was simple. It still can be.
