Biden Brings Roses Back to Rose Garden
Heartfelt repair to garden as gun harm is also addressed.
And other good things that he has done will be ignored but this one is such a natural it won’t be ignored, it will likely be thought of as always existing. So, yeah, ignored.
Office of gun violence prevention is announced and I’m using small caps as I can’t find the actual name of the office. Please don’t let it be Office of Gun Violence. I see the idea if it is but let the conventional wisdom prevail. You’ll find flour in the bin labeled FLOUR and my $35. dollar bag from the vendor on Broadway will be Louis Vuitton through and through, well, you get the spirit.
Office to Repair Broken Psyche, perhaps. The wonderful idea behind the Office no matter what it’s called is just that, healing after the wound. As the phone call comes in “ACTIVE SHOOTER”. As hell breaks its chains to lick at our souls we also ignite, to meet the flames. Unless the cops stand around as they did in Uvalde. Even and especially in that abyss of bottomless heartache, there is always opportunity for righting the ship the best one can. Repair if possible. Sooth afflictions that can’t be repaired. Continue to support as a splint to a broken limb.
Schools, concerts, churches, synagogues and theaters. Wherever people gather to live fully in joy and celebration, a shooter may show up and yell “surprise”. Congress or friendly folk at the state level can and will someday be the change that comes through laws. It’s good to dream but laws aren’t the only way to discourage gun violence. But like all appropriate solutions, it’s the best way to limit deaths, injuries and the mental anguish that’s been caused, in most cases, randomly.
The terror that’s enacted on a crowd no matter what their ages is terror. There is no more terrible word but only placing adjectives before it or nouns after. Terror is for so many, an idea of a worst thing that can happen. If you’ve ever had something happen to you, around you, that was terrifying or terrorizing, it’s not like anything you would ever conjure up like looking around to suddenly find yourself naked in a crowd. Real terror is all encompassing and like flypaper it will stick to anything that it touches. It doesn’t let go either. Described as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Labeled Nervous From the Service my WWII mom and dad veteran told me and the character of Don Knotts in his early career may have helped people cope. At least there was some other guy that jumped at every noise. Don Knotts said, “It came partly out of a dream. Although I had seen a guy to make a speech and he was doing all this – real nervous. It struck me funny,” … so as I say, we dream these terrors and when they happen in real life we think they are a dream or something we have trouble coping. Some more than others and there is help and now it will go to the places that have gun violence inflicted upon it. Help will arrive with the other support teams. Fire, Police, FBI, EMS and Office of Mind Salvation. People will be supported and helped from the moments of the pain, the pain will be acknowledged and then measures taken to repair or sooth or listen.
So, Hear! Hear! To the Office of Gun Violins! If you can say it like Emily Litella you get a free subscription for life.
