Despicable Disruptors lean on Antisemitism for more hatred.
The current currency of war. Stochastic terrorism.
Anti semitism is never acceptable. Disregarding the acts or speech of an anti semite is never acceptable. We don’t accept it and yet there it is and there it is again.
Pie chart, by the author.
The Holocaust was real, Holocaust denialism is a particularly awful form of antisemitism. In another form, saying any one person or heritage of a people, owns banking or media or scholarship is also a learned however shredded little bits of stereotypical tropes, which is a schmancy way of saying passing along hate speech. At times education is the remedy and then there’s the denial of the truth we are facing in many lines of thought. History in general is being dragged and threatened in ways unthinkable a decade ago.
Steve Schmidt in The Warning did a moving speech and personal witness proclamation in support of education about the Holocaust and in particular to the lack of accountability of the Republican Party to point to Trumps dinner with well known antisemitic celebs, and turn their back on him because of it. They won’t, for they are cowards. They are passively supporting all that Trump does and in their passive role they show no impedance and therefore passively condone antisemitism, treason, and some might say philandering, rape, untruthfulness, abortion. It’s just the way that works. The Republican Party, not the MAGA wing, the entire party has is eyes to the ground, feet making circles in the dirt.
Antisemitism is bad. In a nutshell, not that it should matter, I was raised as a reformed Jew in Queens, NY. My mother was as far as I can gather was baptized by the Russian Orthodox Church, the daughter of immigrants from Kiev. She didn’t convert but raised us in our father’s Jewish faith as if she had. People have told me, I’m not Jewish. Or Jewish enough. What I tell them is unprintable in my world.
As expected in the 50’s and 60’s, in Sunday and Hebrew school, I was taught to “Never Forget”. There is a lot I haven’t forgotten. Above all I remember that the Jews, we, were used as a scapegoat. The other explanation was too stupid for me to believe upon hearing it for the first time, but here goes, Jews killed Jesus. That lie is nowhere anymore unless in hushed corners of some church of crazy. The lie does not deserve rebuttal.
Growing up we had a scapegoat in our house. “Mr. Nobody” was to blame for the last piece of chocolate cake disappearing. He was the one who spilt red stuff on the carpet. Mr. Nobody was bad and we needed him to take the blame so there would be no next time. No need for him as we were more careful and now knew the rules far better. There’s plenty of wrong, weird and unfair in the world. There is a need to talk about what’s wrong in this world and to find answers. Jews, hurt Kanye. No. I don’t think so. Why is Ye an antisemite, one can speculate but the answer to him should be simply, no.
How Ye, got to where he is isn’t the discussion. His or anyones reasons are that. Reasons are not accepted in a court of law but may be considered in sentencing in any case. He has a right to his antisemitism in his private thoughts I suppose but why is this being splashed in the media? Is not the media complicate in putting this on the front pages, again?
Elon Musk. Eric Prince. Jack Dorcey, Milo (the ex-pearl guy), Ye, Bannon, Trump, the list is long and nauseating are for the most part self proclaimed “disruptors”. Bitcoin one can argue is also a disruptor, an effort to skirt around the world banking system. How are the supporters of that doing? Disruptors ask the unanswerable questions and challenge weaker minds to get confused. Kellyanne Conway is a masterful shit talker, who, btw took a trip to the Jan6 committee today to give testimony.
Disruptors are mouthpieces of the ridiculous and hateful, and are in place to “simply” ask questions, make statements that are outrageous, to “stimulate” conversation. Disruptors are that, employed in an effort to (in most cases these folks are paid, and a lot, to speak) push, be the devils advocate, to be obnoxious and create controversy where there had been none. These are the tactics, these are instigators of the hate we see today. To be sure that is volumes but the mechanism is simple. To answer the questions, to dialogue, is a trap. But not an un winnable trap of language.
It’s the language and the hate it represents that encourages the actual expression of antisemitism. These guys are stoking it, antisemitism exists, and it’s rising. The Republican Party is supporting it in their relative silence. Schmidt is correct with every word he writes and speaks. It’s the party as a whole with few exceptions. We cannot rely on the Republican Party for anything. No protection from their most awful MAGAwing, a group that is on the rise and gathering moss such as Milo Yiannopoulos as they go.
The answer to these people is NO. No to Muslim bans, boarder walls, inequality of women, no to police brutality, no to gerrymandering and no to antisemitism. We are the reprisal of THE hot button topic. We, Jewish people were slaughtered by the millions by Adolf Hitler’s deeds and planning. His party was called the Nazi Party.
Mel Brooks is a legend. When he trends on social media, people sweat until they find out why. Mel’s movie, The Producers is mandatory watching. So is the remake, as are his comments about why he wrote it to begin with. To paraphrase, “to make fun of Hitler.” To show him as a simpering fool, in especially delightful moments of the “Springtime for Hitler” a play within a play. Brilliant and effective in its derision, and simply not far enough any longer for we are no longer in a society that is so polite. The barriers have been leveled by the disruptors.
As a twitter user, I see and join in in the comedy about these haters. Making fun of them no longer is a weapon that works. It’s a weapon used when people are aware of the bounds. The rule of law has been smashed and as we wait for the DOJ to make actions that will be meaningful in abating our troubles we are left to our own tools. The next level to try is simply the truth, told with conviction and without allowing for debate on facts. There is no opinion, no alternative facts, no good people on both sides, there is hate speech that inspires others to take action on the hateful words to making them hateful deeds.
Hate has no place in our society. It exists but we have a political party that runs on hate as its platform. This is no mistake. It’s happening. The Republican Party is in some ways, the genesis of the hate. They have accepted the Nazi label, they have accepted the Trump proclamation for third stab at the presidency. We all see them struggling but none but a slender few called RINO are standing up like men and women of character.
The Holocaust happened. Hate in any form is repugnant and not to be sanctioned by anyone. Stochastic terrorism is a term we use in the 21 century to point to the person, behind the person with a gun. They are one and the same.
Any disruptor worth his salt would challenge that statement. Don’t allow it.
