Fear and Hatred creates Us and Them

There are plenty of synonyms for and also different approaches to evil. The time tested fear and hatred are front and center, well, front and to the extreme right. Never have the headlines been so full of hate and its different names.
He may be out of the headlines soon, but hearing over and over again how Kanye West has flipped his lid, again, landing clearly in antisemitic territory is not a surprise, more like relief at hearing one of the shoes we were waiting to drop. We will be hearing more Jew hating language. Painful to write the words, painful to feel the feeling. Wondering if twice impeached past president Trump didn’t ask him to do something like this, softening the ground for the inevitable push down Nazi Avenue, led by GQP in an obvious alignment with Putin. This is where this is likely going. Recall in the first days of Ukraine’s invasion by Putin, he was on a denazification crusade. Indeed many Ukraine are Jews, however the threat is a shadow of the simpler flame of greed.
The mainstream media has in baby steps walked us down the path to this place where we are shocked but not so shocked. Just cancel him, Adidas, and move on. But the damage is done to us and the next time it will be worse and we will be shock for an nano second and then not shocked at all. Mainstream media has gone from support of democracy and calling criminality what it is to the place where were are now which is a weird place of every GQP candidate playing truth or dare in public. Some weird game to do something, say something unthinkable for applause. The threats become more serious and the fear becomes larger. Those that threaten must learn to hate or at least act like the genuine article. Without it, the threats don’t sound so scary. It goes naturally the feared one becomes hated because they are always doing something awful and threatening. It’s a simple circle and can be broken.
We all have to vote in two weeks from this writing. Really, everybody has to vote. Once that happens we need to be prepared to be assaulted by the right. Being prepared is not the same as being reactive which leads to fear, hatred and other more verb-y words are assault and violence. Push back this election cycle and they will get louder not softer. They will cry “stolen”. The truth must be held. It must be defended.
The frog in a pot story is the story of the world right now. “Never forget”. These words were, are taught in every Sunday and Hebrew school in the US. Words to mean, do not forget the 6 million Jews that died, that were scapegoated and targeted for murder in gas chambers by Hitler. To cleanse the world of an unidentifiable threat. The Holocaust, is what it is called. Yes, “never forget” also what we all built and what we suppressed after World War II.
Know the real enemy. So many names. Pick the party you want to go to. One is way more fun than the other.
