Dominion is three quarters of a Billion richer

Jury was sworn in. In a Cinderella dash before the clock chimes midnight, Fox News settles the Dominion case for $787,500.000.oo

Repentant by a show of cracking open the wallet, we are at the start point with accountability.

Fox is deemed to be “accountable” through monetary payment. Disclosures or apologies will not be written in the sky. Those in the Fox bubble won’t likely hear the news. If they do, it may not crush or change them as it will likely be a mumble or whisper not quite heard. The folks considered on Earth Two, are unlikely to hear about aligning with reality anytime soon. A small consolation.

The Judge, Judge Eric Davis appointed a Special Master to investigate Fox News prior to the settlement. The settlement doesn’t change the order (appointment). Fox, it appears lied to the Judge about omissions or misleading information in discovery. The written report is due May15, 2023.

Not a day for uncorking the bubbly unless you’re Dominion, however a small joy for the schadenfreude crowd - on Fox’s part, it was a desperation move to keep six weeks of headlines from other papers spilling out into the world.

In an amount ten times the value of Dominion, it seems like the right thing to do for the company and the good people who have been put through an awful time.
