George Soros leader of woke
Philanthropist Jewish man of 92 years holds MAGA hostage to his will. Again.
Or so they think.
The history of the last hundred years is only more relevant today. No worries for a history lesson that takes in all that today but we seem to be revisiting the same old very bad history from Eastern Europe and some in the States.
George Soros, was born in the Kingdom of Hungary. That was in 1930. As my dad would say as his finger circling around the map of Eastern Europe, Hungary, Germany, Ukraine, theres abouts, “it’s all different now”, and he’d adjust his glasses. Soros was born in Hungary as it is called today. In 1944 when Nazi Germany occupied Hungary, it became apparent to Georges father that the gas chambers were in view for them. Yet they didn't leave just yet. After surviving the Siege of Budapest, where Soviet and Romanian forces circled the city for fifty days. By 17, Soros left for Paris and then London where he studied economics. By the 1970’s Soros had amassed a fortune and begun his philanthropic maneuvers. Mr. Soros is a citizen of both the United States and of Hungary.
From the Alchemy of Finance by John Wiley
George Soros has made his mark as an enormously successful speculator, wise enough to largely withdraw when still way ahead of the game. The bulk of his enormous winnings is now devoted to encouraging transitional and emerging nations to become “open societies”, open not only in the sense of freedom of commerce but - more important - tolerant of new ideas and different modes of thinking and behavior.
His life and his philanthropic contributions are staggering and cannot be listed in a short piece as this and offer wikipedia for more.
Soros’s name is mentioned with increased frequency theses days. Occupying a lot of Former’s all cap tweets along with his MAGA’s moans of whatever their trip is today. His name is mentioned as he is of Jewish decent. That is the point. His contributions to humanitarian causes is legend and he also does support politics. Joe Biden’s campaign received five hundred million dollars. MAGA deposits zero. However Deripaska and other non US citizens have supported the clownship of MAGA it is reported.
Soros’s family, it’s written in bios was Jewish but secular, or non practicing. Clearly it matters not to 1930’s Nazi Germany or to today’s MAGA what one believes, it is only ones heritage to MAGA and other repressive fascist groups. Being Jewish in 2023 is being shopped as a crime against White Christian Nationalists in the US just as it was and is in Ukraine once again. Or just a crime against MAGA.
TFG spreads hate like Soros spreads hope. There in lies the rub.
Arrest watch continues (really everyone?). Former’s complaints are winding up his base or so he hopes. So do authorities worry. Simultaneously courthouse in DC continues to hear cases and hand down just sentences for the January 6 insurrectionists. Today, Riley Williams received three years for her contribution to the insurrection. Of interest to me anyway is that she found what seems to be genuine regret for her part on Jan6. Previous reports had her feeling no remorse but after a few more miles in her own moccasins she may have found reason to reflect a different understanding of the event. Here’s hoping.

Are MAGA’s aware that people are getting serious prison time for coming to the aid of their blond savior? They might care for Trump but... Some like their spouses. Some like their children and have a dog or cat they like to pet.
Joe Tacopina and Costello, a Trump lawyer and a Giuliani lawyer respectively are appearing in as many places as possible to sell or soft pedal the charges made against Trump in the Stormy Daniels hush money case. Oddly, there are no charges. Trump is the one that called for charges to be made earlier in the week. Tacopina seems to have it on his schedule to do some preemptive work. Court of public opinion is listening. And listening with eye rolls as he seems anxious to convince the episode was not what it was, appeared to be, what we all assume to be. And this could go on for weeks much like the standoff at Waco, Texas that lasted 51 days. Speaking of which…
Let’s take a leap of faith and say Trump will be free day after tomorrow to do as he pleases this weekend coming up. He believes so as he has scheduled a rally for Waco, Texas.
With a current population af about one hundred and forty thousand, Waco is the birthplace of Dr. Pepper. It sports the texas Ranger Hall of Fame and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. It is also home to the Waco Mammoth National Monument, a 100-plus acre stretch of wooded parkland along the Bosque River.
Waco may be of particular interest to the leader of MAGA because of the standoff at Waco almost exactly 30 years ago to the day. Hard to believe his rally planners just threw a dart at a map of the US and hit this randomly. Maybe Waco reached out?
April 19, 1993 a day of tragedy as the Mount Carmel Center as it was engulfed in flames. Seventy six people perished that day (number varies with the report), including David Koresh, the leader of the Branch Davidians, twenty five children and two women that were pregnant. The standoff was in refusal to honor an arrest warrant and a warrant to search for illegal firearms. There was also concern for the safety of children at the property.
The Branch Davidians (also known as "The Branch") were a religious group that originated in 1955 from a schism in the Shepherd's Rod (Davidians) following the death of the Shepherd's Rod founder Victor Houteff. Houteff founded the Davidians based on his prophecy of an imminent apocalypse involving the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and the defeat of the evil armies of Babylon.
As the original Davidians group gained members, its leadership moved the church to a hilltop several miles east of Waco, Texas, which they named Mount Carmel, after a mountain in Israel mentioned in Joshua 19:26.
Suspected of child abuse and illegal firearms, the David Koresh run cult were suspected receiving a lot of firearms by mail-order. On delivery to the property, a UPS driver had a package become damaged, opened revealing a half dozen hand grenades. A warrant was made in an effort to find out what was at the property and on February 28, 1993 a shootout occurred as a result of attempting to serve the warrants. Four Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms people were killed along with six Branch Davidians. The standoff was on and done by April 19,1993, the day of the killing blaze.
To be precise, the standoff was at the Mount Carmel Center, a ranch in the community of Axtell, Texas about 13 miles outside Waco.
How the blaze was ignited?
It is speculated that the combination of the flammable tear gas and gunshots shot at the facility by the law enforcement task-force potentially caused the fire being shot and caused to explode by the FBI.

There was also speculation that David Koresh ignited the building full of ammunition on purpose. The event is called the Waco Siege and for more details, wikipedia is always a good place to start.
An important moment in history, but especially important to some.
The Waco siege was cited by Timothy McVeigh as the main reason for his and Terry Nichols's plan to execute the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19, 1995, as well as the modern-day American militia movement and a rise in opposition to firearm regulation.[2
The Branch Davidians standoff was attributed to Ruby Ridge in 1992, another standoff because of firearms, a warrant and refusal to comply, met. And so it goes. A real matryoshka doll collection of terror with one horror holding the seeds of the next in endless revenge.
Trump will be addressing his deplorables. On hallowed ground.

Thank You, Gari. Educational. I'd like to add, "The children had no Voice and no Choice." So sad.
