Looking for reasons

Any will do.

Thin sliced or thick. Foreign or domestic. Vintage or nouveau. Reasons are as garden variety as lies.

The ones planted years ago to bear fruit at just the right time? How many booby traps are planted that bare no snap or kill but just cause slow deterioration? Hunter Biden was seen as fragile from the first. A sad boy. A boy whose maternal loss can’t be diminished. For anyone who has had this loss or know one who has, there is pain that never dies but like all lives, none of us leave this plane unscathed. We are all wounded sooner or later which gives us reason to be kind more than most reasons. We know through experience what pain is and we respect others ability to harm us too. The eye for an eye. You punch me, I’ll get you sooner or. …This isn’t that. Try as I might not to be so dramatic with rhetoric, more accurately these days is an attempt to calm myself, but scanning the spectrum of human emotion, Republicans and their puppet masters are ok with self harm. They are not worried about retaliation. Free wheeling and rattling down the road to everyone get thrown from the roller coaster. Its where we are.

I’d like to verbally beat up Romney for not doing better. Not being the savior, but no one has turned up brave enough or strong enough. A willing heart should be enough. Trump has built some kind of fortress of hate and twisted allegiances. Mitt Romney, another one who failed to save democracy. We have failed as well. Mitt seems beaten as all the photos of him are looking defeated and defeat is his farewell message.

Biden is not immune to the attacks. Lacking cause in him, his family is the mark to bead. Ongoing, without pity or shame look behind the GOP deeper to Russia and China for the desire for this stream of money, attention to one man to disappear him. It would be simpler for a more authoritarian country. A cup of tea, a handy window and rolling cat toy. But we have scruples. I had some here just a moment ago…

It wouldn’t matter if all this theater were played if it were either better and we didn’t see it which might be turning back time to when news was carried by letters and by hand and horse but maybe, if it were worse and literally everyone did see the slights of hand and all would be knowledgable we would laugh and simply move on with a hearty “Huzzah”. We may be getting into that territory with Kevin McCarthy about now with both the crazy caucus wanting to ditch him and the RINO’s which are actually legacy or normies doing about the same. Anyone notice how Twitter is now much the same as republicans? Call it “X” formerly known as or “Twitter”, now called X by Elon or Elon’s X that once was Twitter on it goes. Name it, claim it or, or what Musk? Was the thing turned on and you turned it off or was it off and didn’t have instructions for on. Were the letters removed from the switch? Then you had to find the manual and oh my yes, please Senate investigate Elon Musk for his deciding to know best about all things war.

But they aren’t generally open about what they are doing which leads to situations such as we are seeing on Fox and CNN. I’ll not make you squirm unnecessarily but if you’ve skillfully avoided his rallies, his interview, phone rants with Hannity, don’t miss the performances of a lifetime. The videos are big splashy news events. Trump interviews with Megyn Kelly for Fox and another with CNN’s Krysten Welker.

Kelly and Welker both start with ‘Mr. President’ and go downhill from there. They don’t correct, or challenge. Zero. You’ve heard that and it’s awful but what lunacy it is what he says - they simply allow it. That’s it. The insanity is allowed and no one is allowed to get rid of him. He’s weekend at Bernie’s with Mitt on the balcony wondering when people will start to smell him.

Megyn’s arms couldn’t be folded more firmly against his accordion hands and forward lean. Her new stylist’s likely My Little Pony in quirky juxtaposition to her news anchor play. Welker asserts herself more visibly but the opening “Mr. President” leaves it as another cameo performance.

So.

He’s talking nonsense and everyone knows it. The anchors, no. Journalists, no. Reporters,… maybe, are puling his Chatty Cathy ring and he’s Mr. Machining around for the cameras.

He’s expendable. But he’s not. As long as he puts that ferret on his head somewhat straight and jumps in his clown outfit for his close up they will dog and pony him for all to see because he’s all they have. Try as they have they can’t quite manage to slide that stuff off him and onto someone else.

Donald Dobbs Jessica Trump is expendable and the GOP has no one to replace him.
