Minimal MAGA noise made as Trump grudgingly drags his feet into court.

Few surprises from anyone as DOJ sets about it's work.

Trump pled not guilty through lawyers Todd Blanche and Chris Kise, both men, recycled Trump lawyers as no one new was available. In strongman ways, the he that is him sat with folded arms during the arraignment. Photographed before the court appearance, Donald the defendant seems studied in his body language and presentation suggests solemnity seems to be the tone he wants to project.

Trumps personal assistant Waltine “Walt” Nauta was charged with nearly the same counts as Trump or Listen here.

Nauta was TFG’s arms and legs in moving boxes in an effort to shield boxes from Trumps own lawyers as well as the FBI. An additional charge of lying to the FBI is Nauta’s alone to the tune of a potential of five years in prison. Indictment of the two is a walk in the park to read, full of white space and if you didn’t read it, there are insights into the man that was 45. The two rode together to the arraignment. Also reported today, oddly, co-defendant Nauta worked today in the capacity of Trumps’s personal aide.

Hundreds of Trump supporters showed up to be seen, a show support it’s supposed. There was no gunplay or threatening behavior to be seen. The day began with a short shutdown and sweep of the area with no problems found. The general area was taped off with simple caution tape. No problems reported or seen from the tv cameras. Not the big push back on the radical left witch hunt as hoped for and wanted by explosive all caps social messages by the he on his platform which gets retweeted into 2050 by paid and unpaid tolls.

Likely to both their chagrins, Walt Nauta, Trumps personal aide and Trump have been forbidden to speak about the pending case with witnesses as well as each other. How they work this out is how they will, however it is court ordered. Uncomfortable ride home are my thoughts.

Expectations of an angry mob were exaggerated. The magic of Trump is looking like the magician has threadbare cuffs and sluggish rabbits. Tricks we’ve seen before whose smoke bombs may have been dampened. The lion yawns as he tries to roar.

Pundits continue to thrash the days comings and goings and worry through the next steps of what Judge will preside. Troubles from earlier days in earlier moments in the same case may follow with Judge Aileen Cannon drawn from the lottery of judges. Will she step away or be asked to? Those are important questions to be tackled in the future.

At the same time the DOJ is wanting to hold Trump accountable, Koch Industries, former big supporters are pulling away. Way away. Not only not contributing, but spending big bucks to nix the Wizard of bad Odds for reelection. Pretty clear he messed up the gravy train for everyone as GOP presidential lineup is grim and still running scared of the Trump Cult base of numbers. It’s just the numbers that scare them. trump could deliver the numbers. The dollar people don’t care what else he might do, till about now.

Television news seems to be featuring Republicans more everyday. I wish they were not heard generally but I understand the country which functions as a two party system must begin to return to normalcy. So much like getting out of the pandemic.

Politicians and right wing thinkers who are grappling with the Trump derangement problems are necessary voices, as Freedom Caucus and MAGA extremists are still marginalized, shown just for the antics and severity of the reality they push. Still angry about their support of the former president through all the impeachments and reasons for the impeachments, they stood tall and supported him although begrudgingly. The begrudgingly part in the real and often binary world is meaningless. They supported him. Put their big thumbs on the scale to everyones real harm. To save themselves some kind of embarrassment. Going forward, will the Republican Party continue in its Christianizing of everything, continued book banning, terrorizing of drag queens along with LGBT community, and children.

Gavin Newsom is showing some backbone and like Joe Biden, is working for a better tomorrow. He has a plan for guns and how to bring back a world we will want to live in.

There’s a real need to start getting things done, to turn the page. Lots to do before it can happen. Getting through the next set of indictments and court trials will be lengthy, trying and must be done. It’s the law.
