Pundits will be wrong, they will be right. In 2023, there is difficulty projecting any future as the wrestling the world for top dog ratchets up in number beyond 11 daily. Will democracy be called over or a momentary pinning to the mat or take it back in 2024 is up to us. U. S. is us! as the infant in chief has recently noticed. New guy is characterized as an election denier, its who us has.

In accepting the gavel, Johnson told Jeffries many pleasantries about working together, we hope he honors those sentiments while being spoken about as Gym Jordan with sleeves,… a jacket,… in drag. Have fun with the new Mad libs but let’s call it Mad Maga’s.

In somewhat new reporting from the Middle East crisis, the tunnels in Gaza hide the hostages and unknown number of Hamas fighters. Bunkers in an unknown (to me) size, but some large enough to hold a 25 people. In reports by the 85 year old Israeli woman, Yocheved Lifshitz tells a bit what it looks like and how she was treated by Hamas.

The hiding places Hamas has chosen after how many years of preparation, the hundreds of miles of tunnels are invisible to onlookers and some strategically placed under the hospitals. Literally dug out under the building, making efforts to rescue hostages and eliminate the terrorist organization well,… this is the illustrated definition of Hamas using Palestinians as human shields.

Also released by Israel, to a limited number of reporters, is 45 minutes of video of the Hamas attack on October 7th. Our guy in the Middle East for MSNBC, Raf Sanchez, looked impossibly drained as he reported about the viewing. Having seen other videos of ISIS in the past, his face grave with upset, Raf recalled the short length o the ISIS tapes and this was far longer and perhaps more challenging to see for this reason.

Mark Meadows in if not lighter but happier news for democracy, has gotten an immunity deal in the Jack Smith Coup plot case. It means he’s cooperating. Chris Christie tells reporters after the Meadows news, the GOP should deal with Trump not available for the presidency but rather in “federal housing”. Big house not White House I’m intuiting.

Perhaps the most consequential witness yet against the Trump defense if he has one, over the course of the planning, execution of the Jan 6 violent attempted unsuccessful, disruption of the vote count. Meadows still indicted in the Georgia case is a bit of a head scratch say lawyers pundits. It ain’t over till the fat lady sings. My choice….
