Does it matter who is holding the gavel? Yes. But any election denier will do. It’s an expression of the cult mind. One of the beetles, one of the gang, mob or little Igor’s to his Frankenstein. You get the idea, the GOP is of one mind, the one who drinks with two hands and gets his Russians into the oval. I won’t say it’s a gag, because he doesn’t “do” those but is it dementia or evil cunning? Helped by worst of worst or on his own impulses. A cunnumdrum in a riddle. Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don’t.

The speakers gavel is now a spear that leads the charge for the voice behind the mob is Donald. Keep those unruly Hamas fighters, I mean GOP behind me. No one hostage here. All willing players we have bound to us by poor behavior and cash and classic intimidation tactics. Nice house. Cute dog. Only the promises are more dire are more about putting fellow politicians, you, your husband, wife or children in harms way. It’s not yet escalated to tea and windows, a very Russian stamp to their bumping off of problem political folk. Sometime after Nov 4, 2024?

The rhetoric may be cute even jaunty but window, hammer or gun, folks are dead and gone just the same. Vodka anyone?

Gag orders in two Trump trials where he is clearly attempting to harm the court and the proceedings. The guy at the rallies, the accordion playing baboon is drug addicted and skilled at seeking enablers. It’s all he does. Drugs, golf, scheme. His plan is to become an equal to his heros. He wants his puss on head mountain. Parades and acclaim. Standing next to Putin, standing next to Xi makes him look so proud. He has goals. Running the US government isn’t one.

Having watched the speaker selection process whose real action was behind closed doors, one can hope to have a fly in the room but seeing the outcome, the tone of the Republicans is bleakest to themselves at the moment. Tow the line.

A Reckoning, a book by McKay Coppins about Mitt Romney his political experiences, the Republican Party, all with Romney’s full cooperation, meaning interviews and his copious notes. From the presidency run and binders of women to today, it promises a depressing glimpse of the changes we see from the outside. Tissue anyone? Their demise as we watch with a grain to two of glee should be devolving into the understanding we’re joined at the hip.

Meanwhile, the residents of Lewiston, Maine look for a shooter that has drifted into the dark for now. Heartbreaking and a harbinger of the coming year unless people wake up to the fact they are shooting their neighbors and friends.

Don’t allow the existential conversations about war and peace devolve to platitudes of a dreamscape no one will ever live in. Propaganda is flying about the Middle East. Stereotypical propaganda pitting harmers and harmed in cartoonish 13th century fashion. I wish people understood the entire world is connected with the internet.

They have internet. The open air prison has internet. The civilians are connected to the world at large. Palestinians have phones.

Education is possible. Living in the 13 th century is a choice or chosen for you. It’s complicated. The challenge is ours to solve or solve again better than after WWII and the last round of Nazi’s threatening the world. Solve for now only to solve again later. I’m in for what we can get in every moment.

Begin to think differently in this different age. Old solutions still don’t work. Getting a bigger hammer is wrong as well. For now, we must support the world by tending our own garden while being vigilant and helpful to Ukraine and Israel. Work to make sure a Republican cannot get elected in 2024. The country they hijack is ours too. Democrats are taking the blame for everything because Republican gun fingers don’t know, when you point one finger three point back to you.
