Three cheers for being officially sold down the river.
It doesn’t matter if Trump locks himself up at this point. Media will declare victory when he’s finished off as if he were the whole problem in the world and not a malevolent force pushed on us by foreign influences.
Any credibility MSNBC has had with Democrats, liberals or Republicans looking for a home has now been finished off. Teetertottering for months, transformation is complete. Krysten Welker didn’t slay the dragon. She may have taken him for a walk in an asbestos suit, yet Krysten Welker is getting high fives from all her friends at NBC and their cable sibling MSNBC. For…. giving Trump a platform to say unimpeded what he wants and just before tailored gag orders are being crafted by the Bench in the (let’s get this right) the case against Donald - the big did he or didn’t he trial - try to steal the election while president trial. It’s been heard, Cinderella’s mice have been called in by Jack Smith for their help. Their pinning and cutting skills are legend and word has it Trump’s lawyers are eyeing cravats for themselves.
The last outlet of liberal leaning media available on regular televised television has been felled. We are in bad territory.
Pushed to admit the plan to keep the presidency from Biden was his child only and not that of his lawyers may have been a moment for Welker but big enough to anger a big portion of the one million that watch MSNBC. How much of the NBC six million viewers will be angered or assuaged?
We aren’t falling for the Weaponization of the Government Committee nonsense and we are even being talked off from the Defund the Government scheme because it would shut down their Weaponization Clan.. oh, no, or it’s the Impeach Biden schtick that would shut due to funding methods. Again confusion reigns is it me or are we living in a schmear of overlapping dovetailed stories designed to destroy so what real difference is there.
Oh, well, luckily our friends at (insert news outlet here) will help us make sense of the events. With few trusted, and the numbers are winnowing public discourse will be gently managed. Discussions are designed we all know that. Somewhere behind the camera a show is made with a point to make. We don’t live in news any longer but long form opinion or something like that. Discussions introduce many questions always with the questions that aren’t really questions but statement that often present a little lite gaslighting with question punctuation and lilt. X/Twit has been rendered a limping shadow of what it’s been reduced to, but this seat at The Mos Eisley cantina has more real chatter than The New York Times, Fox News, and CNN can balance on their trained seal snouts.
Will Lauren Bobert face the same legal problems as Hunter Biden as to her signing forms to buy her weapons as Hunter did? That is a good question that demonstrates my lite gaslighting question in favor of liberals. Hunter’s recent three count inditement concerning false statements on his gun application was brought by the party of guns around firearms and drugs, seems to suggest everyone must be held accountable even if it takes years of investigations and a single indictment filed after reneging on an agreement just one month prior to stature of limits to end. But still, Lauren is serving in government now, and Hunter never was. If you’re wondering about Bobo and drugs, it may have been THC in that vape and although “MJ” is legal to have and use it may not be legal at a Beetlejuice performance with kids and pregnant women while getting felt up and giving some back. If you didn’t see it. Spare yourself the trauma.
"I genuinely did not recall vaping that evening when I discussed the night’s events with my campaign team while confirming my enthusiasm for the musical," she said in a statement. "Regardless of my belief, it’s clear now that was not accurate; it was not my or my campaign’s intention to mislead, but we do understand the nature of how this looks."
For news with a democracy minded thrust that isn’t corporate in nature, I recommend in no order, Heather Cox Richardson, Timothy Snyder, Joyce Vance, MeidasTouch, especially for legal discussions and Keith Olberman. All are available on YouTube. Joyce maybe not - she’s Substack and podcasts with great people too. Other writing and podcasts can be found in links and mentions from there. There are more good resources such as Neil Katyal and Andrew Weismann. I hate to leave them out.
Thanks for being here. I appreciate the company and the comments. Go on and push some buttons. ❤️
MSNBC, CNN and all of them appear to have many large corporate sponsons. Our entire media and the country in general has been bought and paid for by these corporate interests.
Brava! Welker is basically chuck todd in a dress!
