Consequences of the USAID cuts are reported in The NY Times article about Elon Musk along with his pallet of drug use at long last spilling into the actual world. We know journalists are failing often but this NY Times opinion piece finally gets so much right. Gift article. Reality has consequences to actions.

Reality, it’s the place Elon does not want to be in. The statement is made by observation. What he’s managed to get himself into is below. Will he stay out of jail? It’s our job to make sure he feels like he is in one for the rest of his life.

There are consequences of actions and events in the world but no excuses can erase them. No reasons offered can change the past.

What shakes out into discussion in social media and in reports about the article, is his drug use rather than the 300,000 reported to have already now perished as a direct result of his chainsaw to USAID. He was warned and he ignored or disbelieved the oppositions begging and the reasons for the plea.

The number of children he makes and ritually ignores is something to put on that pile as well. pfffft a paltry 13 or 14. He’s not parenting. He has no interest in teaching or creating a safe environment or in the effort of making responsible adults. Booger mining for a five year old is a real challenge. Challenge not met by the parent that could have used the moment to teach others in the oval office that children need boundaries of good behavior, however one cannot teach what one doesn’t know.
