Vance lumbered onto the stage in Munich. Watch him walk one day. Both arms swing forward and back at the same time. Backs of the hands forward. Trump walks similarly. It’s an ominous walk unless you see the rediculous bully attitude beneath. Extra kohl on his eyes or just the usual amount, makes him look more predatory as he lectured the crowd in Munich on free speech. Lectured like an angry parent. A fat cat telling the other cats what’s so as he tips over the litter box and tosses ‘sand’ in their faces.

Swapping Trump styled spray painted poop for real gold... their audience looks far less receptive than the Maga Q outfitted in flags as shawls. Fit, tailored and educated much as Vance is, their ears are oh no,.. all hands to faces… they are speechless touching chins in pause to wonder. A bowed head. One person applauds to more dumfounded men. Sooooooo many men.

Zelenskyy is in the same predicament as ever. President/General of Ukraine. Looking more and more like a hot potato of who will help as war raged in the Middle East competes for attention, help, for all democracy to recover and wake from the talons of Putin. NATO and Europe will have to end Putin’s march, too similar to Hitler. Perhaps like WWII the US will awaken a spirit of democracy and open our shores once again as we open hearts.

Zelensky: Trump told me Putin wants to end the war. I told him Putin is a liar.

Talks to end the war so far have not included Ukraine. They are a country, not a child. We know who the child is.

So, talking of opening hearts…Guess who got lots of Valentines?

Vigilantism. Love it or leave it alone, it’s real and what happens when people become frustrated. Truly frustrated. A cat will poop in your shoe. A dog might one day turn on a cruel master. Not a fight I want to bet on. BTW, It turns out all you need is a crisp hat and a t shirt saying DOGE.

And lastly, a lovely ballet from sometime ago. Danced by Merrill Ashley and Adam Luders, both from New York City Ballet circa 1980, Balanchine choreographed this ballet, one of the last he made. This was about 1980 from Ms. Ashley’s lovely dancing and appearance. Music by Gabriel Faure, a close contemporary of Debussy in time and style.
