Veiled Virgin by Giovanni Strazza
This Roe v Wade thing has been looming over our heads for sometime now. And one could ask why and why now. Why now, for now.
Jan 6 hearings are heating to a steamy locomotive barreling down the treason track and seems we are Wiley Coyote staring up at an anvil. What are the chances in the natural world that we might have such hard luck? Are we all born under an unlucky star or we are observing an unnatural timing of events.
If someone says “this”, then, they say “that”. Someone does “this”. Push back do “that”. The division in the country is unsustainable and especially on the hottest buttons where the divide is actually unequal. Inequality always causes trouble.
Two announcements changing our lives in two days. Open carry on guns, and, women are no longer equal under the law. Seems they want us to shoot our way out of this? No, that can’t be right. Guns seem to be front and center, on a silver platter if you will and women and men, everyone will lose their right to determine their family’s future and their rights to privacy are on the line too. All questions we face seem to logically land on opposite sides of the same fence which adds to the understandable frustrations.
On our plates is our future on deeply personal issues and the future of democracy too. We are in a time of pivot and change. It is up to us all how we shape the future. I hope carefully, willfully and in peace.
Best advice I ever got: Measure twice, cut once.
