It’s obviously the dog. The cat would make sure it was error free as cats are the supreme leaders in all things OCD.
The latest in SCOTUSgate via the Thomas nightmare we inhabit builds by leaps. While investigations seemed necessary, there may have been some difficulty with push back but more info is revealed beyond the generosity of Harlan Crow’s vacations and gifts. There was a lot of discomfort around Crow’s choice of what he had in his personal collection of sculptures in his large Dallas home. Without defending a personal collection of Nazi memorabilia and objects with more import than that for their rarity or historical and monetary value, museums often are endowed by private collections.
Museums like the Smithsonian would be apt accept such a gift of a collection such as Crow’s graciously. The items would also likely be catalogued and warehoused as so much is. All the while the materials would be available for study or eventual inclusion in a curated showing of the era or whatever the curator decides is the subject of the show. It’s just stuff. Why he collects it is off the subject of the next Clarence Thomas reveal from the Washington Post that his this morning. And so, on a Sunday we had some chatting material over coffee and a bagel.
In what “may be a paperwork error”, says the WP reporting, Clarence Thomas’s tax disclosure form shows an income since roughly 1980 (forty something years) from real estate that appears to be his wife’s through the in-laws. (This is a matter separate and apart from the real estate Thomas sold to Crow, for which there were no disclosures at all. A clear violation of rules.)
The company Post reporting tells, went out of existence in 2006. ? Perhaps closed? Another company with a similar name took over “the land leasing business”, so another rental agent or management company perhaps took over with a similar name. The first company may have been reorganized somehow but closed and opened. Needs looking at very least. The reporting on the tax disclosure forms in contrast to the actuality of reality, didn’t change. My tax guy would be fired if he pulled this. My tax guy would fire me if I pulled this. Clarence may be doing his own taxes… not a stretch for a fella that prefers a vacay in an RV parked in a Walmart lot to a big fancy lodge. He seems kinda too busy for those tax things, but we will sort it out.
Questions are endless in all cases small and large of disregard concerning Clarence Thomas’s disclosure and it all leads to the question of who do we trust? And what to do. We are clearly more clever than Thomas assumes we are. We can figure it out sometime after the investigation that will surely come.
The Dominion defamation case begins on Monday. Jury selection is already in progress. Again there is a disclosure problem from the top there too and Judge Eric M. Davis of the Delaware Superior Court has already made adjustments called sanctions. That’s a word we’re very familiar with these days. In this case, there will be more discovery around this issue while the case also moves forward in the court. It boils down to the fact that Rupert Murdoch has made it appear to Dominion, that he doesn’t have any real influence at Fox News. He shouldn’t be included in the suit at all. His main thing is Fox Corp. Nothing to do with the running of Fox News. Perhaps in the same way that Elon Musk’s dog is the CEO of Twitter, Murdoch, well, it turns out he does have real influence as with a little looking, Murdoch was indeed a corporate officer at, wait for it, Fox News. All to be discovered, in now ongoing closed door depositions.
The Dominion defamation suit, it’s been said, at this point is how much money is owed to Dominion by fox News. We will find out.
The upcoming week begins with the Dominion defamation case which looks extremely strong and getting stronger with these new revelations. The Judge seems to have a commanding grasp on the entire cast of characters and what’s at stake. This could be a defining time for the cult of MAGA due to the spotlight on their main platform of creation and support in all it’s insane incarnations.
Next up is Disgraced Former Guy running for president. Winning (lol). Pardoning himself, likely from jail at that point, for all his federal crimes. Has he thought this through? Maybe not, I don’t think Clarence thought he’d get caught with his robe down either.
Thanks for being here. Join me on the journey. Subscribe with my thanks.
It's apparent that whoever filled out the form(s) simply cut-and-pasted from the previous year.
Lol.
Worse than no effort at all.
