Simone Biles Owens^[4] (born Simone Arianne Biles; March 14, 1997)^[5] is an American artistic gymnast. Her seven Olympic medals tied with Shannon Miller for the most Olympic medals won by an American gymnast and is the equal ninth-most overall. Having won 25 World Championship medals, she is the most decorated gymnast in the history of the Gymnastics World Championships, and is considered by many sources to be the greatest gymnast of all time.^[6] In 2022, Biles was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Joe Biden.^[7]

She’s back, she’s fabulous. When Simone needed to take a break to heal herself, for her to be the best Simone, she did. She took a break and came back, better than ever. The break was for her mental health. A reason that is all too often made fun of, dismissed and often a person can have a terrible time being accepted back into life as before their absence although, when in fact they are only more fit, more able, more ready to excel.

John Fetterman, Senator from Pennsylvania, checked himself into the hospital to deal with thoughts of depression and suicide. As an observer I thought the media generally seemed to be split on his decision and was also demanding of a timeline on recovery. (Like it was their decision anyway and he should hurry up the timeline.)

A last frontier of our understanding as a society, mental health needs to be in the forefront of our minds and begin a larger discussion of what mental health and fitness is and looks like. How to find it and keep it. What are the components and earmarks of a healthy mind? We have never been in greater need and possibly even less willing to have the discussions.

More lost people wandering in the wilderness. Try looking inside and figuring out how to lead the country out of the divisions we find ourselves in. Take a beat and find responsibility to where we have landed. All the rest (Christie gets a pass because he’s thrown his beanie in the ring to harass Trump) would likely scream and flail themselves to death dying like a chicken in the rain. Sorry chickens. It’s a fallacy that you can drown in the rain by simply looking up. Indeed, you little feathered folk are as quite smart as well. And make great pets.

The party leader, Fearless Leader, still calling the moves of certain congressmen and women. The stamp of Trump on the Congressional Hearings and call for Biden’s impeachment because Hunter. Where else would they get this stuff if not an edict from above? Russia?

The whole situation lands today with a focal point of who’s will will prevail. Who will prevail in court and in public opinion. Will the court be compromised, turned into a mockery of ideas twisted and warped to accommodate weak minds and law-like arguments of puffery and pap. Or will Judge Chutkan use the many tools in her judges box to protect us. Yes, us. His crimes are against the will of the people. His actions the indictment charge are in service of Trumps attempt to disappear our vote in 2020. Yeah, magic.

Trump’s above tweet may be the breech of his release conditions that send him into jail to await the trial he seeks to delay.

This is the guy that inspired so much love. The NYTimes tells all about just how Donald J. Trump didn’t demand, bully, wear down Pence to interrupt the electoral college vote counting but tried simply to inspire him, to dream the Trump dream out loud. More ink spilt to walking back, explaining soft pedaling, delivering the lies, lies none the less. Listening to lawyers lie it has been told to us just recently, the first amendment protects everyones right to lie in public. Under oath is different. Lawyers lying should be against the law but it is not.
