Hi Gari, What a gorgeous ballet of Balanchine's -I felt I was almost dreaming. Myself and best friend were breathless over it and then commented about what a total contrast it is to the vulgarity happening in the political and media realms in our country today. Thank you so much!🙏🌹
That F**ker Tucker besting Cruz is hilarious. I love it when they eat their own. I’m looking forward to watching the ballet. In grade school, I had a poster with this Don Quixote quote: “Too much sanity is madness. The greatest madness of all is to see the world as it is, and not as it should be.” I didn’t know at the time that Don Quixote was thought to be crazy. I believe many impossible things are possible. I’m a delightfully madwoman and I throughly enjoy my madness ✨🤣💫
I am so similar in that way. Sometimes the world becomes in love with itself and cannot see itself. It takes people as we are to sometimes hold up a mirror.
In the ballet, in layers of layers of meaning as Balanchine was in love with Farrell and he was so much older, but love is love and her character Dulcinea, is a dream worthy of his bottomless deep love. What makes this ballet such a joy for me, is that Farrell is so young and her dancing was at its finest. Conrad Ludlow, one of the companies finest in its earliest days. Suzanne Farrell is still alive and has retuned to NYCB, at long last as a coach in what “Balanchine wanted,” always needed.

It’s magical. The graininess adds to its ethereal beauty. I got see Robert Goulet play Don Quixote in Portland. It was sweet, like Dulcinea 🍭
Yes! Omg, I saw him in Camelot, at the Mineola Playhouse in Mineola, ny. I had such a crush.
Jinks! I saw him in Camelot too!! He was so handsome 🤩
He was on daytime tv in NY so often then, too. Yes, quite the matinee idol. 😎
