If you can get the historical novel Last Days of Night, about the Tesla-Edison rivalry, it is a great read: https://bookshop.org/a/709/9780812988925. You should also be able to find it in a library.
Blurb here: “In The Last Days of Night, Graham Moore takes us back to the dawn of light—electric light—into a world of invention and skulduggery, populated by the likes of Edison, Westinghouse, Tesla, and the novel’s hero, a young lawyer named Paul Cravath (a name that will resonate with ambitious law students everywhere). It’s part legal thriller, part tour of a magical time—the age of wonder—and once you’ve finished it, you’ll find it hard to return to the world of now.”—Erik Larson, author of The Devil in the White City
Thanks William. I quickly read a bit in Wikipedia about Tesla to refresh myself. In high school he was all the rage for us nerds to talk about. I actually remember his story only in part. What a time it must have been to witness. I remember the evidence that my grandmothers house having been gaslit that was converted to electrical. Thanks for the recommendation.
